Monthly Pack Meeting – Veterans Day Motorcade & Ceremony

Scout Families. If you know a Veteran, invite him/her to participate in the Veteran Motorcade:

​Veterans  arrive in personal vehicles at 12:45pm at American Legion Plaza (Vermont Terrace near Crestwood Train Station). Motorcade with police escort begins at 1pm.  See American Legion website for map view of route.​

Instructions for Scouts and Families. 

​​We are asking Pack 6 Cub Scouts to:

1) Invite a relative or neighbor who is a Veteran to participate in the Motorcade. Invite neighbors to line the parade route. Spread the Word!!

2) Plan with your scout friends where you'd like to meet up on the route. Try to spread out across the route to avoid empty spots.

3) Once the motorcade passes, make your way to the Annunciation School gym for a brief ceremony starting at 1:45pm. 

4) Make a poster to wave on the route, such as "Thank You" or "We Love our Veterans". Let our vets know you care! 

5) Make "Thank You" cards to give to Veterans during the Veteran Meet & Greet that follows the ceremony

6) Bring cookies or a baked item to the gym to contribute to the fun.
