Scout Sunday 2021

10am Mass at Annunciation

Wear Cub Scout uniform (except the hat) and arrive at 9:30am to line up by den
 

Religious emblems to be presented by a parish priest to the scouts at a Scout Sunday on October 3.

With COVID protocols, scouts will sit with their families and we will spread out seating.

We will resume our usual Scout Sunday on Feb 6, 2022.

Pack 6 Crestwood and Troop 1 Crestwood will celebrate Scout Sunday on October 3 at the 10am Mass at Annunciation.

The scouts will participate as altar servers, readers, offertory, petitions, and more.

 

At the end of Mass, Wolf Scouts will receive the Light of Christ or God and Me religious emblem, and  Junior Webelos scouts will receive the Parvuli Dei religious emblem.

Boys earning Parvuli Dei also submit a banner they'll create for one of the requirements. 2nd grade Wolf scouts do NOT make banners as part of the Light of Chris program.

Workbooks Deadline:  Jan 26, 2019
All workbooks and Parvuli Dei banners are due on January 26th.

Catholic Emblems

Light of Christ for scouts in grades 1-2
Usually done as a
Wolf scout in Pack 6.

Steps to

Follow

Deadline for Workbook, Application & Banner: 
Submit by June 25

Complete all activities in the workbook.

 

Webelos will also make a banner as part of the Parvuli Dei program (any size is fine, but generally in the range of 16x24).

 

Complete the application in back of the workbook. Be sure you and your scout both sign where required.

Give book AND banner (if appropriate) to your Den Leader on or by the due date.

The Pack will coordinate the review by a Parish priest and will purchase the medals from our local Council.

Medals to be awarded at Scout Sunday Mass.

Parvuli Dei banners will be displayed during Scout Sunday (will be taped to altar railing).

 

All workbooks and banners will be returned after Scout Sunday.

 

ANSWERS TO APPLICATION IN BACK OF WORKBOOK

For the top section, enter:

  • “New York” for Diocese

  • “Annunciation-Our Lady of Fatima” for Name of Parish Church (or another if you belong to a different parish),

  • “6” for the Pack number

  • “Church of the Annunciation/Our Lady of Fatima” for Pack Chartered Organization

  • and “Greater Hudson Valley” for the Council.

 

For the Certification section:

  • Cub Scout should sign (or print) his name and enter the date

  • Parent/Guardian should sign

  • Please leave all other signature lines blank. They will be signed by the additional reviewers.
