Pack 6 collected 30 worn out and tattered U.S. flags on Memorial Day 2012. Troop 1 Crestwood presided over the flag retirement ceremony.

During the year the Pack is happy to accept U.S. flags for retirement. Send an email to Pack6Crestwood@gmail.com to arrange pick up/or drop off.

 
Support "Hope for the Warriors" on May 19: Poppies for Sale

Ernest Pasqua Post #1506 of the American Legion will be selling poppies outside Annunciation Church following masses on Sunday, May 19 

Proceeds go to Hope for the Warriors. Please display your poppies on Memorial Day to honor those who have given their life for our Country.

Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony — Monday, May 27
Rain or Shine. In the event of HEAVY rain, the parade and ceremony will be cancelled.

 

9:40am      Parents drop off Cub Scouts with their den leaders at Annunciation parking lot (at the corner of St. Eleanora’s Lane and Brosnan Place near Schultze Field).

10:00am    Groups begin marching. Scouts will collect worn and tattered flags from neighbors along the parade route.

10:40am    Ceremony begins at the American Legion Plaza (near the Crestwood train station)

11:30am    Ceremony concludes. Cupcakes and refreshments distributed.

12:00pm    All scouts help clean up the area.

Provide your registration details to your den leader. We greatly discourage any sibling under the age of 6 due to the 1 mile hike through the woods over rocks, tree roots, etc.

$35 per family. Includes all Saturday activities and crafts, a patch for each Cub, the afternoon entertainment, and space for one tent to camp overnight.

Add on per person costs:  BBQ dinner-- $10 per person and Sunday Breakfast--$3 per person

Volunteers for BBQ:  Since Pack 6 has such a large turnout, we will be helping the event organizers by having a six of our parents volunteering to help at the grill, setting up buffet line, etc.  Please email Pack6Crestwood@gmail.com if you can help.

Fun & Adventure at Cub Scout Day Camp

Cub Scout Day Camps are adventurous times for graduating Tigers, Wolfs, Bears and first year Webelos.  It is a week of fun, advancement and adventure at a camp close to home. 

Each day's program runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and is filled with a variety of exciting activities including swimming, boating, archery, nature, crafts, games, sports and advancement opportunities. A different theme each session keeps the program interesting for those boys who attend for more than one week. Boys are constantly doing something new in camp.

Raingutter Regatta at Memorial Day Picnic

We have added a Raingutter Regatta to the Pack’s picnic on Memorial Day. We will also hold a second regatta at our year-end Pack meeting in June. Den leaders will be distributing boats this week.  This will be a fun, non-competitive event for our scouts.
